Piper Neighborhood Real Estate

Right here in Kansas City!

Your Real Estate Guide is going to “peel the onion” for you … first we have the Kansas City Metropolitan Area (about 2.5 million population). Kansas City is a bi-state city with parts in Missouri and parts in Kansas. The next layer is Wyandotte County (on the Kansas side) … then Kansas City, KS within Wyandotte County … then the layer of a neighborhood – Piper!

The neighborhood began around 1888 as a village, and then an unincorporated semi-rural area. It was annexed by Kansas City, KS in 1991. Being annexed by Kansas City offers infrastructure, emergency services support, and government oversight. Being annexed did not change the “heart” of the neighborhood– it remains a recognized area by name, and it retains its long-standing school district, Piper USD 203. Learners here are in good hands with a long-standing school district – supportive of the students via academics and extracurricular activities.

General boundaries for the neighborhood are: 73 Highway on the west; Marxen Road on the north; State Avenue on the south; and North 115th Street on the east. Roughly a bit under 30 square miles in size, Piper has easy access to rural areas and urban areas, as well as all the metropolitan area has to offer with entertainment, recreation, restaurants, the arts/museums, and events.
